Blue Roses

This dress is so pretty and flowy and very comfortable.  I think it was actually colder today than yesterday.  I guess I got used to it.

I swear I'm not angry.  This is just what my neutral face looks like.

Scruffles is getting good at photobombing.

Cold Comfort

It was so cold this morning that all I wanted to do was snuggle up in a cozy sweater.  These are the same pants I wore yesterday.  They are, in fact, the only work appropriate pants I own.  My last job had no dress code, so I wore jeans all the time.  I hope I'm not too cold to wear a dress tomorrow morning.  I don't want to wear the same pants three days in a row.  As I mentioned in a previous post, these boots go with everything and keep my legs (and feet!) warm.

Scruffles totally photo bombed me.

And this is how I looked on the way to work.  This is one of my favorite coats and I don't get to wear coats that often here in L.A. (I know, poor me!)

She loves me.

Gold Medal

Yeah... I'm tired and don't have much to say.  This sweater was awesomely cheap at H&M.

Dinner Party

This is actually not a dress, but a top and skirt.  They were worn together in the Jason Wu for Target lookbook and ads.  It looked really cute in the ads, but when I tried it on I didn't get the same effect.  I went back to the ad and it was pulled together with a black belt.  The belt in the ad was thinner, but I really like how it came out with this belt.  I was never a fan of nude shoes, but then I saw a girl trying these on in the store and they made her legs look AMAZING.  So I got some.

Switching back from flip flops to heels.  Sometimes your feet need a rest.

I coudn't resist posting this one, because Lemmywinks looks so silly in the background.

While I was cleaning up after the party, Patty started snapping pictures.  We thought it was really funny, since this outfit is so prim and proper.  Therefore, I present a domestic photo essay:

I couldn't keep a straight face in this one.  Also, sweeping in heels is really weird.

Pretend you don't notice there's nothing on the cookie sheet.

Or that there are no dishes in the sink.

Fat Tuesday

I love the watercolor print on this dress.  I had wanted something like this for a long time and then Express came out with this and it was actually affordable.  These boots have turned out to be one of the best purchases ever.  They go with everything, are comfortable enough to walk around in, and keep my legs warm on cold mornings.

Graphic Design

Again, this was after work and I was very tired.  I love the contrast of red against the black and white.

I'm actually falling asleep here.

Scruffles makes a foot cameo.

Orange Crush

So it's finally been cool enough to pull out my sweaters.  (I know, quality problems.)

Casual Friday

Yeah, these posts are out of order.  And I told you I liked birds (welll, the prints anyway).  I didn't really think any of my costume jewelry went with this, so I just wore the blue sapphire ring that my parents gave me.  I usually try to wear that if I'm not wearing any other rings.

Rainy Days & Mondays

If I look a little bit grumpy, it's because I just got home from work and I was tired.  I was going to wear this with some red open-toed pumps, but when I woke up it was cold and rainy and I don't believe in tights with open toed shoes.

Close-up on the skirt, so you can see that it's polka dot!

I can haz a necklace?

Seeing Red

I love red and I love lace.

The camera caught me before I was ready.

I like to hang out with shoes.

Wait, no I don't.
