How To Organize Your Jewelry

Since I haven't had time to take outfit pictures lately, I thought I'd share something that I'm quite proud of--my jewelry wall.  I hung all  those hooks myself!  Before I joined JewelMint I could pretty much fit all of my jewelry into the little box on the right.  (And no, I am not getting kickbacks from JewelMint, they have just made it way too easy to buy stuff from them.)  Anyway, I wanted to have everything where I can see it and to group the different types of jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, etc.) in more or less the same place to help me choose what to wear.  I started with hanging all my necklaces up on the wall.

You can't really tell, but underneath all those bracelets is a jewelry tree from Urban Outfitters.  The rest of the bracelets are on the holder in the next picture.   The bunny and elephant ring holders are  also from Urban Outfitters.  They're cute and as an added bonus they are useful (or vice versa?).

This jewelry stand is also from Urban Outfitters and I haven't decided its specific purpose yet.

In addition to the ring holders, there are rings in the jewelry box.  So they're not all in exactly the same place, but at least I know where they all are.  Also in this box: earrings.  I can't wear them right now, though, because one of my holes close and I need to get it re-pierced.

These hooks are from the Container Store.  Did I mention I hung them myself?

I found this awesome tray on sale at Bed Bath & Beyond to put my perfume in. It looks much neater than how I just had them sitting on the dresser before.

Black & Yellow

I finally (finally!) found the perfect pair of low heeled black shoes.  I wanted a pair that I could wear to work and still walk in if I needed to.  (Not that I can't walk in higher heels, just not very far or very comfortably.)  This Sole Society pair is just what I needed.

Paint It Black

To be quite honest, I'm kind of getting tired of looking a pictures of myself.  Anyway, I wore this outfit to a more conservative office job.  I probably would've worn more colorful shoes if I wasn't worried about being conservative, but least I got to wear fun tights!

Tiger Blood

I like how this outfit is a just little bit badass and the McQ for Target shirt makes me feel like I have a small connection to the late Alexander McQueen, even if it is from Target.

Have I mentioned that Scruffles hates being picked up?

Saturday Night Fever

For our annual "I Miss Your Face" party, I decided to wear this cut-out dress.  I was a little worried about showing so much skin, but since I didn't have to wear it out of my own house it wasn't such a big deal.  A party at your own house is also an ideal time to wear the highest heels you can.  I actually made it through most of the night in these before I took them off and went barefoot.

Young, Fabulous & Broke

Full disclosure:  I did not actually wear these shoes when I wore this out.  We went dancing and I needed to have the full use of my feet for the whole night.  But these are the shoes I would've worn had I not needed to be able to, you know, walk.  That counts for something, right?  The post title is the brand of the dress.  It's a good title and I can't think of a better one.
