Red Leather

I wore this dress a while ago, but I accidentally deleted the pictures, so we had to do them over again.  I mention this because I heard that oxblood is now out.  I don't really care, though.  I love this dress and I'm going to keep wearing it.

Purple People Eater

Okay, that blog title has nothing to do with this post, except that the dress is purple.  I guess I'm running out of ideas for titles, too.  A friend of mine had this dress and I liked it so much I went out and bought one for myself.  They were out of my size and it's a little too big, but at $14.99, you can't beat the price, so I got it anyway.  I just have to wear something underneath (here, a cami) if I don't want to show way to much cleavage.

Addicted to Skulls

I told you I was loving the skulls right now.  I'm sure you'll be seeing more of them later.  I love how these skulls have little bows on their heads.  It's that juxtaposition of hard and soft again.  The dress is open in the back, so you can't really wear a bra with it.  Joanna Coles would not approve.

What's a skull?

Rocker Girl

I think these jeans are so incredibly cool.  I loved them when I saw them on Aimee Song's blog, Song of Style.  I'm super into skull prints right now and fortunately/unfortunately for me (unfortunately because I want to buy everything that has a skull on it), they're having a moment right now.  I love that this skull is covered in flowers, it's a great juxtaposition of hard and soft and I wouldn't want to look gothy.

This ring makes me wanna punch someone.

LACMA

Over the weekend I took a trip to the Los Angeles County of Museum of Art.  Their light pole installation (that's totally the official name, right?) is a popular place to take pictures.

There were mostly kids playing here, but I didn't let that stop me.

Look!  A really big rock!

Look at me standing under the really big rock!

And now to take a closer look at the dress.  It's actually a mini dress with cut-outs, layered under a sheer overdress.  They came together as one piece.  I would not recommend wearing the mini dress on its own, as it is very short and tends to ride up.  I love this dress because it's a fun way to wear side cut-outs, while still remaining (somewhat?) modest.

She loves me so much!
