I like how this outfit is a just little bit badass and the McQ for Target shirt makes me feel like I have a small connection to the late Alexander McQueen, even if it is from Target.

Full disclosure:  I did not actually wear these shoes when I wore this out.  We went dancing and I needed to have the full use of my feet for the whole night.  But these are the shoes I would've worn had I not needed to be able to, you know, walk.  That counts for something, right?  The post title is the brand of the dress.  It's a good title and I can't think of a better one.

Winter Wedding

I attended a friend's wedding reception in his parents' beautiful back yard last month.  This dress is riding up weirdly in the pictures and I didn't have the Photoshop skills to fix it.  I know, I'm such a professional.  Just imagine it...not doing that.

I wore this dress a while ago, but I accidentally deleted the pictures, so we had to do them over again.  I mention this because I heard that oxblood is now out.  I don't really care, though.  I love this dress and I'm going to keep wearing it.

This pretty top is actually part of the Express winter collection, but I think it's nice and spring-y.  Which worked for the weather that was downright summery these past few days.  Today it's raining.  The weather has been turning on a dime lately.  But that just gives me more opportunity to wear a wider variety of clothes.

Belated New Year's Eve

What with the mad flurry of trying to get out of the house, the dark bar, and, let's be honest, the drunkenness, we didn't get a chance to get pictures on actual New Year's Eve.  So here I have painstakingly recreated my NYE look (well, with different hair and lipstick and I couldn't find the bracelet I wore that night, so I went with my second choice).  Anyway, hope your year is going great so far!

I Fart In My Sleep

No, I don't fart in my sleep (or at least I hope I don't), that's the title of play I went to see last night.  I was invited to a special blogger sneak preview of this world premiere play based on Jennifer Sorenson's blog of the same name.  The blog and play are about all the most embarrassing moments of Jen's life and there are some good ones.  With nine different actors playing "Jen" a hilarious time was had by all!

This is why we like taking pictures outside.  The lighting is not great in here.
