Something Wicked

I've had this dress for a while and never worn it.  Hard to believe, I know.  I mean there are so many places where you can wear a sparkly sequined dress with a rib cage printed on it.  I knew it wasn't practical when I bought it, but it was just too awesome not to own.  The weekend before Halloween seemed like the perfect time to pull it out.  We dressed Scruffles and Punky up to celebrate the occasion.

Punkula!
Scruffles' costume is a dinosaur, but she hates to wear the head.  She looks like a demented lizard.

Prints Obsessed

I'm starting to think I'm just obsessed with prints in general, because leopard print is yet another print that I love.  I've loved this print for almost as long as I can remember.  I used to have a denim jacket with leopard panels.  I put all my buttons on it, many of which had Debbie Gibson on them.  Anyway...

Polka Dot Pants

I hate skinny jeans.  I hate the way they taper down around the ankles and make anyone with a bigger ass than Kate Moss' look like an inverted triangle.  But there are a lot of really cute skinny jeans out there right now.  My solution to this is to buy them a size too large.  Since I'm short, they're usually too long for me, so I can fold them under and (hopefully) avoid that inverted triangle look, like I've done here.

Stars & Stripes

The fun thing about black and white, is that you can wear it with pretty much anything.  And it makes mixing prints easy.

Ice cream, anyone?

Yes, Mommy, I would like some ice cream.

Little Bit Goth

Kind of funny story about these shoes.  I was on the elevator at work and a woman asked me if my shoes were comfortable.  I told her no, but I just sit at a desk all, so it didn't matter.  She responded, "They sure are pretty, but they're going to give you bunions."  Thanks?

I wore a blazer over this instead of my usual cardigan.

Slip Dress

I'm still finishing up posts on some of my more summery outfits, although I think this dress is more spring.  Anyway, it's 85 degrees out today, so the summer dresses might not be going away yet after all.  Even so, it feels wrong to wear, like, a tropical print.  I mean, it's October.

The sexy band-aid returns!  (I like shoe with flowers on them.)

For only $19.95 you can own this dog shaped foot rest!

Pretty in Flowery Pink

This is a really old skirt that I just threw on in a hurry.  The outfit actually turned out really cute.  One thing I'm discovering from this experiment is that I don't really have any desire to wear most of my old skirts.  I think a lot of them will be going bye bye at the end of the year.

I think Scruffles just did something gross.  That happens a lot.

We decided to use treats to get Scruffles to look at the camera.  Usually, we just take a bunch of shots and in half of them she's blurry or looking away.  It actually worked and we got this cute shot.  Later she threw up.

Here she is jumping up to try and get at the treat.

In the Tropics

...And we're back!  It's been a while.  I'm pleasantly surprised about how much I've missed blogging.  Even though it's officially fall, I'm still catching up on some of the more summery outfits that I've worn in the past few weeks, including this one.  Although we had a few blazing hot days in L.A. last week, it's finally starting to feel like fall and summery clothes actually feel wrong.

I think the teddy bear band-aid really completes the look.

Spinning.
