Little Mermaid

I fell in love with this skirt when I first saw it, but, unfortunately, it was way out of my price range.  Months later, it ended up on sale.  I danced around in the dressing room making the paillettes swing all around and reflect the light.  When I paid for it, the cashier told me I had a New Year's Eve skirt, but I thought to myself, "Are you kidding lady, I'm wearing this to work tomorrow."  And I did.

When I tried on this jacket, my first thought was, "Oppan, Gangnam Style."  My second thought was, "I love it!"  What's that say about me?  Anyway, I wore this at the costume exhibit at FIDM.

21st Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design at FIDM Museum & Galleries

As a FIDM alumnus, I was invited to attend the opening of their annual movie costume design exhibit.  The exhibit included all of the Oscar nominees for best costume design, as well as a variety of other movie costumes.  There was also a party with a mashed potato bar.  Yum!

Winter Wedding

I attended a friend's wedding reception in his parents' beautiful back yard last month.  This dress is riding up weirdly in the pictures and I didn't have the Photoshop skills to fix it.  I know, I'm such a professional.  Just imagine it...not doing that.

My friend Sarah insisted I get a picture of the cake with the little Tiki face in the background.
